Context
@bsurda was born in 2009 as an LGBTQIA+ party in the programming of small nightclubs. It was created by my partner, Ed Luiz. In his words “I created the party I wanted to go to”.
It was not intended to last long, or even to grow. The first logo was incredibly artisanal. At the time, twitter celebrities were influencers. The name came from the @ of twitter.
Today it is the largest LGBTQIA+ event in the state and one of the most important in the country.
In antecipation of @bsurda's 15 year anniversary ant the logo's 10th I decided to update and refine the visual identiy. Spaces, angles and font were changed. The multicolored nature of the brand was kept, in the spirit of its ever changing nature.
